Ideas for Story Game

I am new to this website, and I would like to create a game. However, it's kind of hard for me to come up with ideas. I have an idea for the first page though.

It is just a boring afternoon (or you, anyway) in your quiet small town. You have lost all your friends due to you dropping out, and them moving to the big city, which has more opportunities. Of course, you'd move with them, but you don't have the money to do so, as nobody wants to hire a dropout. Also, in a town like this, there aren't many opportunities for you. As a result, you spend most of your life in loneliness.

As you are channel surfing, the news headline catches your eye. News reporter James Bowen is reporting [Insert Disaster or Whatever]....

What do you think guys? How could I improve, and what should the story be about based on this?

Just do whatever you want, dude. But an actual page ot two from your story would be helpful if we were to criticize and/or appraise your work.

Yeah, I never quite know what to do with all these vague 'what do I write about' sort of threads.

I guess it boils down to me just not understanding them. In my experience, if you want to write, then you already know what you want to write about. The cool idea always comes before the 'omg I must sit down and start typing' urge. I can't imagine ever wanting or allowing strangers on the internet to dictate what I should write about.

Well, in my opinion you could make the story a little better by revising your intro. You want an attention grabber, as if you are writing an essay. So far, it sounds like an intro that would just make me go to the next page and get the story over with. Add more details and get creative BEFORE you start to type.

Here would be a good example, why not make the protaganist ( the good guy.) have superpowers or something.
