I'm working on my 1st story & am wondering if there are any rules I should know about when using images?  

No porn, and probably no sex scenes. Blood is tolerated, depending on the maturity of the game.

So other then that, I can use whatever I want?

What do you have in mind? 

I was just wondering if I needed to think about copyright laws & stuff.  The story I'm working on is a fanfic.

Oh, and also no nudity I'm pretty sure. I'm pretty sure there aren't copyright laws in this site :/

I hadn't planed on having overtly sexual content, so I think I'm good to go.  Thanks for the help!

You're welcome. Oh, and use the maturity button. 8 is max (porn) but you can't reach that. They've decided that 7 is now highest. Sexual content, blood, gore, language, alcohol consumption, and drug use are all prohibited. But as for pictures, nudity, sex, and porn are not tolerated.

As far as the actual writing goes, sexual content, blood, gore, obscene language, alcohol consumption and drug use aren't prohibited in stories. Those all pretty much entail a typical EndMaster story. And many others on the site.

If they have a reason for being in a story and aren't absolutely over-the-top excessive, then they're fine themes to use. Most published fantasy uses at least a few to some degree, even Harry Potter. But if they're put into a story for no purpose other than gratuitous usage, then they probably don't belong.

Either use images from a free hosting site, or make sure you give credit for the image to avoid copyright issues. Hope this helps.

What is the proper way to give credit to the ordinal author?  Also, where could the "Source" button be if I had it?

Just write under the pic giving credit to whoever it belongs to. As to your other question, I have no idea. I don't use the rich text editor, but it should be up at the top by the bold and color options.
