A place to sit back, hang out, and make monkey noises about anything you'd like.

Halogen's copyright thing extends to the forums, right? That's sort of bothersome. That means, if I made a D&D module or something with Penguinites in it, they'd already own Penguinites? I don't have a problem with not owning them, really, because my overall goal is that Penguinites become a base fantasy race that everyone has, like Elves or Orcs, rather than a fantasy staple that everyone knows but can't use in published works, like the Beholder. (They'll never be either one of those things, but hopes and dreams are the only thing distracting us all from the emptiness of our own brief tragedies on this pointless planet! :D) My problem is, would I run into trouble if I tried to publish and copyright a game module containing them and publish it?

If you're that concerned email Alex or ask an administrator to get in touch with him to discuss it.

98.7% sure he won't care what you do with it though, lol.

Everyone always gets in a tizz about the Halogen thing and nobody is going to do anything.

TSMPaul published an actual book of one of his stories on here, his book wasn’t suddenly taken off the market due to it being on here and CYS wasn't raided by angry lawyers telling this place to take it down.

EDIT: In fact, didn’t that Nazi dude do the same thing too? If Nazis can do it, fairly certain you don’t have anything to worry about.

He wasn't a Nazi. He wasn't anti-Jew or anti-Black or anything. He was just PRO-WHITE. Learn your shit or shut up, Endmaster.

Apologies, Aman and Beta, the Zionists have fooled me once again with their propaganda.

The TOS state that Halogen Studios has a non-exclusive copyright on everything posted on cys. Alexp has explained that the supposed copyright cys has on your work only pertains to the right to distribute your work, the copyright on all the stuff you create and post on here stays with you. (Link for reference) Interestingly enough, the TOS also for example state that users are not allowed to post messages under a false name. Maybe time for some tweaking of the Terms of Service.

Kinda funny you mentioned this btw, as I wondered about this same issues a few weeks back, when I posted one of my stories on another platform, and earned some money off of it.

That's comforting to know.
