IVE DECIDED TO LEAVE THE WALKTHROUGH TO THE TOWER BECAUSE THE SECOND ONE IS OUT.
Walthrough
Chapter One - Outskirts
So before we start, you have already beaten the game (or else you convinced me to give this to you without beating it) so you probably have read most of it already and so because of that I only encourage you to read the pages you havnt read already, which I am sure there are some. Follow this walkthrough and you should be ok to get every weapon, max stats and score as well as most everything else.
So you start in your house, search the room then shut the window to prevent wind. Grab what you dropped and read the note if you want, because you can also read it later, then examine the contents of the urn, heft your dagger and eat the rations and then exit your house.
Good that will be the last time you will need to go in your house for the remainder of your game. Head to the library and read every scroll you can to raise score. Then visit the creek and venture into the forest. This part of the game can be time consuming but its worth it. Hunt until you catch the sparrow and then hunt until you catch a Galeine. Make sure not to eat the Galeine. It comes in handy after.
Just to give you an idea of how long this will take, the Galeine will usually come withen thirty tries, and the fastest ive ever caught it was four. The sparrow will take withen ten usually and I have caught it on my first try. Now with your Galeine meat head to the Smithy and trade it for the helmet. That will greatly raise your vitality.
Head to the tribal meeting place at the cost of vitality and make sure to do the same thing with the makeshift medical hall. Now visit the grocers and spend money on score. Later in the game money will be very plentiful but score is never all that easy to get and on the comments screen score is what matters. To do this, invest in spending as much money as you can on apples. Now leave the town to begin Chapter Two. Choose Normal, easy is a waste of score because you have this walkthrough.
Chapter Two – Road to Sanctum
For an adventure (that can be costly) set up on the road. Otherwise set up under the oak trees. I always choose under the oak trees myself. Then make preperations to leave and tell him you are Gaile, with the realtor, don’t let him sell it to you for one hundred, get it for one ten. Do not stab him.
If you chose the road then this chapter is a bit longer, otherwise head to chapter three.
Chapter Three - Sanctum
You have now reached Sanctum, you should have:
GOLD is 112.
SCORE is 360.
VITALITY is 47.
WEAPONSKIL is 2.
Items:
Dagger
If you have that then your on the right track, but if you chose to set up on the road then your stats may differ. Weaponskill and Items are the crucial stats. To get into Sanctum yell for a guard then use your dagger. Don’t kill the guard, its just a waste of time.
Now that your into sanctum you need to complete the following things before heading to Gazm. Do them then head to Gazm.
Get grapes from the Klendak grap vines
Switch grapes for wine at the winery (DON’T DRINK IT)
Switch wine for jewelerry (VERY KEY ITEM) at the jewellery shop.
Go to the shipyard in the portagos district and take a swim for some gold.
In Daggermouth visit the weapons shop and buy the short sword.
Head to the Klozle arena and watch daggermouth lose.
Head to the Trak district and then the track. Since you only have about ninety seven gold, you want to bet twenty (I always cheat so if you don’t hit the jackpot then go back). Once you do then bet one hundred and do the same thing.
Now your ready to head to Gazm, ignore the warning and head right in.
Chapter Four – Gazm District
Before you head to your fathers residence you need to visit the Kloozle arena and join the team (by figuring out wahts going on and telling htem you read a scroll about it once.) To win use your racket on the scoring ball and pass it off. Buy one Galeine meat and then head to your fathers residence.
To max out your score, head to the apropriate places with the notes and then head out of the city. (Make sure to go to the Barracks first before the treasury). Do not steal any money. The most important part of the game is here. GIVE THE GIRL THE JEWELERRY.
Chapter Five – The Mountain Pass
My Stats:
GOLD is 652.
SCORE is 1295.
VITALITY is 62.
WEAPONSKIL is 3.
My Items:
Dagger-ShortSword-FathersNotes (Drop them if you want).
As long as Weaponskil and items match and gold is fairly high, then your on the right track.
Once in the mountains veer off to the side to the weaponshop. Buy the small axe.
Now head up the mountain, do not change difficulty.
Now the obstacles, they arent really all that hard. Take a running leap and look for a different way up. For the third one just use your dagger/small axe. Then head to the fight.
Use your shortsword, then your small axe, then your shortsword, then your small axe (if needed) to win.
Now your ready to leave the mountain.
Chapter Six – The Fringes
Do not skip this chapter, walk among the ruins then continue into the fringes now head to the weapons shop and buy the completely useless short bow. The only reason you buy it is for the last scene. Continue farther into the fringes. Now get a quest do them in this order:
- Keys (Free Money.
- Rats (Keep giving money to the beggar for one, black art temple has one, go into the restauraunt once, if you go deeper twice then you will die, kill the orc in the fields for a weaponskil, investigate the grocers stall and rest in the church then head to the dump to complete the quest)
- Troll. (Head deep into the restaurant, sidestep, jump on his back, crouch low, stab him)
Chapter Seven – Orc Highway
GOLD is 937.
SCORE is 2803.
VITALITY is 88.
WEAPONSKIL is 5.
Dagger-ShortSword-SmallAxe-ShortBow (I dropped Notes)
Go to the weaponshop and buy the near useless long bow. Then go to the orcs. Do the options in this order:
Bargain – Why do you block this road - cant you see I have very little money and I need to buy weapons for my journey – Please orc my life is in your hands – exception this once.
Now head to Troll Canyon.
Chapter eight – Troll Canyon
Buy the bastard sword, large axe and the long sword. Three of the best weapons in the game, they will come in VERY HANDY. Don’t leave via the orc highway, leave via the troll canyon.
Head down into troll canyon. Take the main road and continue on. This battle can be quite hard but there is an easy short cut.
Make the first move – Long Sword – Advance Menacingly.
That makes the fight both funny and easy.
Chapter Nine – Cannibal Creek
Buy the Lance from the weaponshop, after I did that here is what my stats look like,
GOLD is 507.
SCORE is 3353.
VITALITY is 98.
WEAPONSKIL is 9.
Dagger-ShortSword-SmallAxe-ShortBow-Longbow-BastardSword-LongSword-LargeAxe-Lance.
Go closer to the creek and turn right then continue to the sound of rushing water. Take out the cannibal by using your long bow (basically the only time when this item is useful).
Now go straight and use your large axe. Take initiative and draw a weapon. I like the long sword the best, use it and select cross slash.
Now you have a fairly important decision. If you leave then you have completed the area but if you stay you can participate in an epic battle, and gain a massive levelup at the cost of a lot of life…
I chose to stay. If you leave your stats will be marginally less then mine and your score will be lower on the comment screen. There Is no particular way to win this battle, but because your vitaliy will be fairly high you probably wont die during the battle.
Chapter Ten – Shadow Territory
Now my stats look like this, if you didn’t fight the cannibals then your score will be much lower and your vitality will be much higher.
GOLD is 507.
SCORE is 3928.
VITALITY is 74.
WEAPONSKIL is 10.
Buy the scimitar and you should have ten weapons, make sure not to depass the shadow territory at all costs because the game is unbeatable without a certain trick. Continue in and veer to the right. Then accept the challenge. Choose fast for each one. First battle it doesn’t matter which choice you choose after fast, for the second battle choose lower and for the third battle choose higher.
Now take the harder way through, do not try to fight the shadow as it will easily destroy you. Instead donate 100%, although that sounds crazy it works. Now your done with the shadow territory.
Chapter Eleven – The Tower
Approach the tower, then here are the awnsers.
C, C, B, D, A, C, A, C, C, E.
Then Just cruise through, and check the hall of fame.
Glailes Epilogue
Just so you all know, it is actually Glaile. As he discovered when he visited his dad on his deathbed back in Sanctum. Glaile lived a long life, and everyone loved him. When people investigated into the tower they found Langdon’s battle plans and if everything went according to his plans then sanctum would be overrun and destroyed. Eventually when it comes a time to elect a new ruler they choose you. And the in the great rule of Glaile you do many things such as unite all the races under one name: The United Co-allition. Declare a demi-democracy where you have different rulers all meeting together to discuss talks with you as the judge and mediator. The rulers were:
Eight humans to represent the districts of sanctum, a chief from the outskirts, an orc, a troll, the shadow lord, even a cannibal who wears a mouthguard at all times.
When you die they write about you for centuries to come. Long Live Glaile.
In the making
Wow, it took me a long time and a lot of effort to actually finish this game.
The outskirts were easy but the plot started there at the nurses hall. The hunting out by the creek caused some problems at first and I spent an hour perfecting that. The road to sanctum was another problomatic part of the game because I accidently caused a variable overload and created a dead end. Sanctum was fun, especially Kloozle ball. Also it was an improvement on my previous epic city Agaiek in Mattias. The mountain pass was also cool because it provided a difference between easy and difficult, and it was the first time I created a variable decided battle. The fringes were fun and introduced a wee spark of comedy when his keys appeared in his pocket. The orc highway was my downfall, I took a two month break when a sudden gust of writers block smacked me in the face. I rewrote the orc highway an amazing SEVENTEEN times until I got it right. You might have even noticed a “this is a new page” dead end in there somewhere. Well I just had to leave it because I was so tired to going back into it. Troll canyon was my returnign chapter and was just a bit of get back into the spirit writing, it was the first time I introduced generic weapon sets. After that came Cannibal creek which was a fun chapter to write. I even got the great madglee stuck when all of a sudden BAM you have to use an item. I know theres a minor bug or two there but oh well. There was also an epic fight against thirty cannibals which was fun to engineer. Shadow territory was fun to write, because I’ve always been fascinated with Jousting. Then came the tower, you ask why I made it into a quiz? To celebrate my roots of course, my first games were all quizzes, I thought Id incorporate them into this epic. The funniest thing of all was that my plot was going to be about half as cool until I made an authors worst blunder. I forgot what my main characters name was. So I put Gaile instead of Glaile. Of course I couldn’t admit this so I encorporated it into the plot and it actually made the game better. SO yeah it was a good mistake.
I will be adding to the hall of fame but I don’t want to unpublish inconveniantly.
So I put it on my profile as well.
Thank you’s
There are some thank you’s on the game properties, they are all appreciated but I’d just like to thank the people who take the time to play through and leave HIGH RATINGS, and even more so the people who leave fantastic comments. YOU GUYS RULE
Peace out
