Cities
City skylines
Lights blinding
Night sky twinkling
With hidden stars.
Laughing people
Busy people
Getting from one place to another
Whirling
Twirling
Eyes blinking
Unfazed
Without soul
But greed
Greed is what is in their hearts
Greed
Greed of all things
Jealousy
Envy
Traits of a sinner
No play
Just business
Times Square
Central Park
Natural they say.
No.
Un-natural.
Never natural.
Man is creator
And destroyer
Beware nature
Beware forests
For man with replace trees
With metal ones
With no respect
For nature
No room
For nature
But room
For sin.
Dogs barking,
Cats yowling,
Engines purring.
No one stops to notice
A man without a home,
A girl without a father,
A boy without a family,
A dog without an owner.
Citygoers
Take for granted
What little wealth they have
They never give
But they take
Portions they may never give back
But sometimes
One person
Will leave a little extra tip
And be nice
For a change.
Dogs may beg
Cats may mewl
But nothing
Can change a city person's
Mind.
