I'm writing a story at the moment, that I want to be sort of a mix of Left Behind (The Original 3), Red Dawn, and Blue Bloods (more comparisons to be determined later on). Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could make that work (ideas for the story, etc.)?

This could only be amazing, or shockingly disappointing.

That's what I'm thinking. I've lately been thinking of doing something different than mainstream CYS (So I've started one).

You've given us so little information, that the only rational opinion is that you're procrastinating on the forums and should just go work on it.
