Player Comments on Life as a Dog

...This was alright, I guess. The grammar was fine, for the most part, but that's the only positive thing I can say about it. Really, this game is just boring.

The main problems I had with it were;
-The game tends to force you into decisions, especially during the "Thorn Decides to Leave You" thing. If you choose to live alone, it'll tell you that you changed your mind- and to me, this is just lazy.

-If you choose to play tag after your mother leaves, you'll be brought back to the "See the World" (I think that's what it's called? eh i dunno) page. This was, hopefully, a mistake.

In the end, this game deserves it's 3/8, and that's what I'm giving it. It's not the worst thing ever, but it's not great, either. It's just sort of meh.

You should make a story to the “live alone” part and the female part how about you make a story about the life as the mother of the pups.

Extremely linear for the majority of the story. Being asked about whether I'm male/female near the end is just weird; you probably should have put it near the beginning, or not at all. It doesn't seem to have much of a plot or direction. 2/8.

One of the things I noticed was the fact that you open you're eyes in the first page, yet, a few links later, you open them again for the first time. I really don't get this, or if I misread it, but I'm confused.
Later on, when you 'Move out', you seem to be forced to live with Thorn. It seems like it's a cheap way to publish it and continue working on that link branch. I also noticed that you had to be male to really progress much further. Add the lack of choice and description, overall, I give it a 2/8.

more fun than old homework

A cute storygame. Short and simple, but I don't think you understnad how dogs work. I sense that you may have taken some inspiration from Warriors with this story but usually puppies in a litter have very similar coloring; plus green eyed dogs are either non-existent or extremely rare.

I didn't like how you made it dramatic for the boy but not for the girl it was a bit unfair don't you think

I have one big problem.

A man jumps out, and a female soon after. You turn around to run, but the man grabs you, and THE FEMALE THORN.

Isn't thorn your brother how can be both a male and a female? Unless... Just kidding. This is probably just a mistake. Please fix it. I found a few spelling errors here and there, I suggest you go over your work again or get someone to proofread it. This was a cute game but very short. I think you should add more detail to your childhood and the time you spend with your mate. Thanks!

How can you play tag if your eye aren't open? There are probably dangerous things wherever you're playing. Also, not enough detail. This is really bad. I have much more to say, but too lazy. :P

It was linear, and I was forced into choices often. With some polishing, this can be a decent game.

Pretty good, but needs to be longer. Seems like you got bored said, you got a mate, lived a happy life, and here are your pup's names.

Kinda sounds like Warrior cats especially since they kinda have the same descriptions and sounds like the book A Dog's Life because of the scene where their brother is taken away

It was sad thorn got captred and River died.what if you made it longer and you met thorn againg and he decided to come back with you and you moved into the old shed and thorn into reds old den or somting like dat.

AWESOME! Much better than the warrior series, the warrior stuff is not that bad though i like this better.

It was okay. Some parts were pretty ridiculous and didn't make sense. It was also a tad bit linear.

If you say that you "copied a bit" from that book, then label the game as a "Fan Fiction".
