Player Comments on Walk Forward Adventure 3000

Argh, I've created a monster. Really, all things considered, 'Walking Simulator' should be a new tag. As far as Walking sims go, you managed to make more sense than the Endmaster-themed surrealist novel by Negative. But, it lacked a certain flair. Sure, you did let us walk forward with some good narrative humor, but it gets old when you're restricted to one choice only.

I mean, really, you should have let us explore the possibilities, but you didn't. You gave us the choice of walking forward, or instant death, and you didn't even give us the privelege of unique death pages! I feel a little insulted.

I’m looking at the first page and I’m wondering if this is supposed to be nothing but a joke. I mean, sure, based on the intro, this is going to be something silly, but is there really going to be nothing at all to it? While there’s not too many writing errors on the first page, I still only have one option to choose from. When you’re writing a choose-your-own-story, people tend to, well, you know, like to choose from options, which does require more than one to actually work.
Sadly, things don’t get much better on the next page. There’s an attempt at witty banter, pushing the joke a little more, beating on that dead horse, and then once again, a single choice. Interestingly enough it is actually the same exact single “choice” that we had on the previous page. I can understand why some other reviewers complained about the story being boring.
To save other potential readers a bit of time, nothing else is going to change in the “story.” Well, you do eventually get a few other choices – and they all lead to instant death (and yes, they all appear to lead to the exact same instant death page as well). So I guess if this were intended to just annoy people and continue the joke long after it ceased being funny, well, I suppose you did that, but not really anything more.

I liked your writing but I found the game extremely boring because I only had one choice. I think your game would be a lot better if you edited it to have more choices.

I got bored by page 4 due to the lack of real choices. But you did make me laugh a little, so 2/8. I agree with Sentinelpenguin's comment; some unique death choices would have made this much more interesting.

This is stupid. We should've had the option to jog forward, amble forward, or at least powerwalk forward. But just walk? Get this crap outta here.

Nothing happened in the story. It's completely linear and doesn't even make the reader think about anything BECAUSE YOU JUST FUCKING WALK, FOR THE ENTIRE FUCKING STORY! Nothing goes on at all. Probably the absolute worst cyoa on the site. Hope this gets taken down.

So you just walk forward, if you don't you get a 0/10 rating. But you just keep walking forward, cause elfred tells you to, then he tells you to stop and you only got a 6/10. Come on man, why have all those points if we only get six of them. :( come on.

This game is simply not good. There is literally only one choice to make in the storygame that doesn't lead to automatic death. Did you guess what it is?

Seriously, there was almost to thought or work put into this story, and I didn't even find it funny in the slightest. It was just stupid and pointless. Nothing more to say.

The quest brought enlightment. But then I was like wait...that was stupid. 5/10

Nice bit of comedy, even though it was SUPER SHORT! I actually liked it! Nice!

A pretty funny little game. I liked it. Only thing that I suggest is making different endings then two. It would be hilarious if you had a different ending for licking ten lamas. XD
