Player Comments on Battlefield Commander: The Trojan War

Well, unlike many of your works, this was a bit bland, there were a few grammar errors and while I know that info about the Trojan War is easily found with just a click, many of the actions and sceneries lacked significant description

That said, however, this was a very good example of a Battlefield Commander, I rate it with a 5/8

Wow, this was a really, really cool re-telling of the Trojan Horse, and definently one of my more favorite stories from you, Will. The way the writing immersed the reader was amazing, made me feel like I was actually there and participating in the war. With this immersion brings a new perspective on the classic Trojan Horse story, one that I really enjoyed.

I didn't like how it was a little linear, but I suppose the rank mechanic and the way you could side with different leaders in different situations makes up for it.

Really cool! Love the famous Greek myth underlay and inspo. Uh, I got caught in a loop...I'm not sure if that was suppose to happen. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Very fun and descriptive! Needs a part II...perhaps The Odyssey?

Good:

1. I liked seeing different facets of the war and what happens to different characters depending on which fighting force I join

2. The level of detail throughout was enjoyable

Bad:

1. After a small group that I was a part of discovered an enemy spy and extracted intel about enemy reinforcements from him, the story said that scouts found the reinforcements, as if I wasn't involved in it

2. Typos; proofreading is needed

I especially enjoyed reading about the ruthless cunning of Odysseus. I don't know how much is true to historical sources vs. thought up by the author, but either way it added a dash of intrigue and depth to this well-done storygame.

Very historically accurate, even if it did pertain to Greek myth. Once again, Will, you have shown proper use of punctuation and grammar, well-written essays, and a vast knowledge of history.

Malkalack: No the main character is just the reader, I went for third person narration. For some reason I kept accidentally putting in dialogue from the movie Troy though and having to go back and delete it...
PirateCaptain: I type too fast so my fingers sometimes take it upon themselves to reinvent language, plus the British spellchecker on my computer is at war with the American spellchecker on this site (travelling vs traveling, center vs centre etc).
Chrislotsofnumbers: Thanks again and no problem about the 5, just read this again if you have time and click the 8 button a few hundred times a day haha :D

There are quite a few grammatical mistakes and typos, but since this is only a "test story-game," I'll just keep them to myself. All-in-all, I enjoyed it and am looking forward to reading more. Great work, 6/8!
