This reminds me of the time I saw a fat guy have a heart attack and die at my Waffle House.

I guess it can kind of be classified as a story, which would then make it an absolute waste of time even in its pithy state, but I’d rather call it a desperate attempt at avoiding further shame, which in turn makes it something to indeed be ashamed about.
The twist was a pretty funny callback tho. 2/8

I am fairly sure I have been to this exact Waffle House.
Also, I read "disappointment is immeasurable" Reviewbrah's (aka TheReportOfTheWeek) voice.
Overall, some absurdist humor and some fun use of words.

This was extremely short, with little branching. Other than that, it was pretty fun. I gave this a 4/8 for the lack of branching, plot, characterization, and length. The enjoyment factor added an extra two points.

Suranna, for the record, I only rated this a two because it's so incredibly small. Otherwise I would have rated it at least a three to show I'm a good sport. How late did you even start this that you couldn't possibly tack on another small path?
Now, I will say that there are a few things that bothered me with your story. A few plot holes you could say.
First, what is someone who was about to go into a McDonald's in the middle of the night complaining about a Waffle House for? Ridiculous. Waffle House's nourish the soul along with the body.
Second, What are you smoking ordering the peanut butter chip waffle. The waffles worth ordering are the chocolate chip and pecan waffles by a long shot.
It does also seem like the waitress in the other path might be a reference to someone, but I did not put it together at all. If not, then the amount of cats was way too specific.
I will say, you did get across a certain amount of humor. I chuckled at the fourth wall break with the Gone Fishin' Contest. This will almost certainly not stay up, but I'm sure it will give a few people a chuckle before it's all over. Additionally, thanks for making 'It Happened at the Waffle House' technically part of a series.

Despite being incredibly short, I found this a lot funnier than it should have been. I really shouldn’t have ranked this as high as I did, but this is just one of those stories that I immediately enjoyed for some unknown reason. Bonus points for actually depicting events that could realistically happen at Waffle House.
Congratulations on submitting right at the deadline. The only complaint I have with this story is that to the best of my knowledge, your prompt was supposed to be about seducing a relative, and I didn’t see that here.
Still, 6/8
