I'd like to give this a better rating but it's intolerably linear. Your writing is excellent (feature-worthy even!) but this isn't interactive fiction.

The suspense is thick and the plot is interesting. I've never played the game this was based on, but <i>this</i> game's pretty great. I can't say much that other comments haven't said before me, so good luck on all of your future storygames!

Just found this with the random button and I'm surprised it's not rated higher. I don't know anything about the source material but it's not needed to enjoy this. Very good, very intense.

Loved it! This story is amazing, highest marks for you! The theme is like something that I would write myself, but you incorporated the "choose your own adventure" sense well.

I've only played the 3rd game, of the games this is based on. I loved the story in that game and i regret not knowing what came before that installment. This, even if it's not the original, is great. You've captured the darkness that I loved so much in the game.

Other comments say the game is linear, but I won't be able to say for sure until I play through it a couple more times. Even if it does turn out to be fairly linear, the story itself makes it worth reading. I only wish the story was a bit longer. That said I'll go to read the second part immediately before replaying this one.

I loved it. Truly dark, I find myself connecting to the character. The story could use a little more options, or choices of powers. The grammar is off at times, but other than that... One that I know I will play again. ASAP

Part II has been released! Depending on the reviews I will either finish it up with a 3rd chapter and begin a Part III of the series. Or I will wrap it all up and chapter 3 or Part II will be the end. :) Thanks everyone for the great reviews. I hope you enjoy Part II. It is longer and less linear and has variables(though they are mostly for chapter 3).

I enjoyed the game, it feels a little narrow seeing as in the end regardless of the choices I end up at the same place.

But unlike in most games it don't really bother me much, since I find the story very interesting.

Very dark, but intensely interesting.

I like the horror and dark side of things. Plus I think that the originality of it is nice.
