Player Comments on Simon's Day

This was quite amusing. It actually has quite a bit of length if you make the "correct" choices, to the point that there's quite a few different endings. Some of them are pretty dumb, but I've seen a lot worse. It was very basic overall, but eh that's what I expected.

Oh, but what have we learnt from this intrepid storygame? Why, just a few things:

1. Helping an old woman across the street will get you arrested
2. Don't offer to pay for a meal with 3 girls when you have no money, and according to this game, you never will
3. You should definitely get together with the 25-year old woman who is a student at your school, even though you're 16 (????)
4. Vanity kills
5. Attempting to skateboard will kill you

The story was supposed to comical, and it kept me interested for some reason. Add more detail and description in future games, perhaps a few more branching paths, and it could be even better. I'm just glad you didn't go for the lolrandom route.

Cool. I think it's at least better than homework. Don't recommend putting a death at the very first choice. Why? Lucky me, I died straight at the beginning, thinking this game was gonna be total crap. But no. It's decent, but could surely be misleading. Otherwise pretty good.

I think some deaths, mainly most of them, weren't likely and a bit tacky. I recommend you change some deaths like staring at the mirror. Maybe, like, um... there's a fire or the mirror falls on you, still having it be humorous.

Some of the story options were way too short and boring. Mind you, I'm only commenting on the problems. Otherwise, this game is really neat. More options are recommended, but could also use more detail. For example, the three girls at the pizzeria. What hair color? What age? What personality? Dressed in what?

here's a tip: leave the death choices until later in the game. it could've lasted way longer, i think. i'll replay

Not the worst writing, but a little short.

Well I wouldn't really call this a love or dating story. There's one ending where you can sit and chat with a girl and one part in it where you can briefly flirt with a woman 10 years older than you. I think the closest thing to a romance in this story is the ending where the guy falls in love with a mirror :p

This was not very vivid, at all. It was really short, and the choices were really unnesscary since they did basicly nothing. There was no description and this had nothing to do with the category.

I got a lot of end game links for no apparent reason. Also, I don't know how this is in the romantic section, seeing as how it has really nothing to do with romance. Finally, really short.

Pretty linear, but sort of okay. A good story, I guess.

A bit too short and linear. The writing is okay. If it's going to be about surfing, there should be some actual descriptions of surfing. I third the "meh."

simon had a pretty good day by my book. Not a very involving story, and not much choice made for kind of a dull day, but not a bad shot at a first game.

This is a good start for a first effort. Give it a little more depth and this could make a great read.
