In this CYOA you play as a young man who inherits the role of captain due to his father’s untimely death. You live in rough times, and while you just want the gold, and not the pirate’s life, you know that it’s a package deal. Not being able to afford not taking this opportunity, you take it. With no idea what you’re doing, you must be quick on your feet, and redefine the word ‘flexibility’.

I did some bad shit that I don’t regret

Too bad society deemed me a threat

I couldn’t escape the death penalty

There was no other way except to flee.

So I stole a rocket and took to space,

Trying my hardest to avoid my fate.

I went so fast everything was a blur,

What are the odds that I stopped next to her?

She took me in and gave me purpose,

And for that I’ll always be of service.

But lately I’ve started wanting her more

I don’t believe I’ve felt this way before

I think that I’m in love with her eyestalks

I think that I’m in love with her smallpox

I think that I’m in love with her blue tint

I think that I’m in love with her ear lint

She always makes sure that I’ve been fed well

She says she loves me, and gets caramel.

I love lingadingabagewena (ling-a-ding-a-bah-juh-wen-uh)

even with her mind control antenna

Woohoo! I got the least amount of strokes! I guess I shouldn’t have written a furry story, and I probably should have spent more than 10 minutes on it, while also simultaneously filling out a biology pogil, but whatever. I feel like it was well structured and had good grammar, I’m just really bad at coming up with story ideas.

Probably, I guess I’ll just have to wait to compare grades with my friends to see if you’re correct or not.

My R&J Summative on 5/26/2019 11:31:12 PM

Update: This has been graded, and I got a 76% on it. The way each section is graded is, from best to worst, is as follows: sophisticated, proficient, developing, and emerging. These are my grades per category:

Strength of Ideas: Developing

Use of Evidence: Developing

Depth of Commentary: Proficient

Organization and Transitions: Proficient

Language and Conventions: Proficient

Professionalism: Sophisticated

Needless to say, I’m a little pissed because I spent a good 45 minutes on this instead of listening to my math teacher, just for a C. She hasn’t made any comments on it as of right now. I even added an extra body paragraph.

You know what? Fuck you. Your story has more spelling and grammatical errors than all of the others put together. At least I accepted that my story was trash. Your story is so bad that I immediately knew that it was yours just by reading the first paragraph.

I literally just turned the first page of my story game that I’m working on into 3rd person and submitted it.

I’m not sure if she meant 1000 words longer though.

I was under the impression that these were supposed to be 500 - 1000 word stories, but it seems like well over half are longer.
