This story will be my own little spinoff of The Walking Dead, it will let the reader make decisions that can change the whole plot of the story and affect each character. The same principles about the zombies in The Walking Dead apply in my story such as having to destroy the brain, everyone being infected, etc. And the characters I will include are those whom I personally know.

I will include a short description of each character that includes their characteristics, relationships with others, what weapons they use, etc. I will also include their status, so obviously, everyone is alive to begin with. You do not have to read these descriptions but they may help you out and get you more involved into the story.

Favorite weapons are a baseball bat and a Glock .45 Drew is very strong, athletic, and is in fantastic shape. He is a very caring person and also very patient, as a police officer he has a knack for protecting people and dealing with difficult situations and he is also a good shot due to his police training, however, he does not deal with certain situations well mentally and when he is down about something he stays down for a long time and it is very hard to get through to him and lift his spirits. He played baseball in high school and that is why he is quite fond of using a baseball bat to bash his zombie foes. He has a great relationship with all of his family members and Matt and Jonathan but his relationships with everyone else could go either way.

Jacob - College student, 19 years old.

Jacob is a slim,but fairly strong individual. He is also quick and has good conditioning so he knows how to get in and out of a place fast. He attends Old Dominion University and that is where he is with his roommate Casey when the outbreak happens. He is a pretty good shot due to his father teaching him a little bit when he was younger but he does best at close range which is why he uses a shotgun. The reason he used a sword is because before the apocalypse he was a huge fan of Dragon Ball Z and his favorite character was Future Trunks so one year a friend of his bought him a sword that resembled the one from the show which comes in handy for Jacob during the zombie outbreak. Jacob, much like his brother is a very caring individual and is willing to do anything to protect them and he is willing to go with any situation that comes his way most of the time. However, he often gets frustrated with things that are out of his control and does not like to show his feelings to people so it is hard to know what he is thinking, but one can usually tell by how he acts and the look on his face. When Jacob grieves he gets very upset and sad but is typically resilient and can usually get back on track not too long after something tragic happens. He is not the best leader but he is ready and willing to follow his group and do what he has to do. He has a good relationship with just about everyone of the characters and many people trust him.

Mike - Unemployed due to a car wreck he was in many years ago that damaged his legs badly, 25 years old

Mike is a slightly overweight individual. He was in a car accident many years back that nearly paralyzed him but due to a successful operation he can now walk normally but running is a problem for him because he cannot run very fast due to the prolonged effects of his injuries. Mike attended classes during his youth about firearms and he was a proficient shot with handguns so he has good accuracy with them. Mike can be described as a hothead who has a very short temper. Once Mike has his mind set on something it is very difficult to change his mind. When he gets mad he explodes with anger and is determined to get his point across by any means necessary. However, Mike is brutally honest no matter the situation and does not hold anything back. He is a very tough man and while he seems to have a harsh attitude it is only because he is fueled by the desire to protect his loved ones and himself from harms way and he genuinely cares for his family and loved ones.

Chris - Cook at a local restaurant in town, 21 years old

Chris is a tall,large, husky man. Due to his size he is strong but not very fast. Chris has a huge heart and cares so much for his family and loved ones. He can be described as a gentle giant unless provoked, because when he is provoked he becomes very aggressive and is not afraid to fight someone to protect himself or his loved ones. Although Chris is kind in nature he will not let himself be pushed around too much whether it be verbally or physically. However, Chris cares so much for his loved ones that if one were to fall victim to the epidemic or be killed, it would devastate him and he would grieve for a long time. Chris has also rarely shot a gun in his life so he sticks to close combat with his crowbar as his weapon. Another name Chris commonly and will go by in the story is Moose because that was a nickname his mother gave to him when he was a child.

Casey - College student, 19 years old

Casey is a tall man with an average build. He grew up in rather rough neighborhoods in Philadelphia and Washington D.C. which taught him to become well equipped in many different situations. He and his family eventually moved to Atlanta not long before he came to college. When the outbreak happens he is at Old Dominion University with Jacob far away from his home in Atlanta and the fate of his mother and sister remains unknown to him. This burdens him at times but he picks himself back up to focus on the present situation. Despite his upbringing Casey is a rather peaceful individual and would like to avoid violence if at all possible but will resort to it should it be the only option. He is a very go-with-the-flow type individual and is very well liked by all of his friends. Although he does not have much of a relationship with some of the other characters,he is a very likable person and does not create problems with anybody. He carries himself very well in situations because he carefully plans out how to approach them.

Cindy - Medical Technologist, 52 years old

Cindy is a short female with short brown hair. She has spent most of her life devoted to the medical field and good medical knowledge. She was married to Jeff for many years and had her two sons Drew and Jacob whom she loves very much. Due to problems in the marriage Cindy and Jeff split up and she met and married Terry some years after. While her and Terry often bicker like a typical husband and wife, they have a deep love for each other and since Cindy cannot really handle weapons she often relies on Terry and her boys for protection. There is much tension between her husband and her brother and mother because Lee and Elsie share a disdain for Terry but Cindy is not afraid to stand up for her husband and completely has his back. Cindy is a very independent woman and does not want to see her boys in danger but understands they may have to be for the greater good. However, she is not afraid to get her opinion across and will remove herself from a situation if she feels so inclined.

Terry - Contractor, 62 years old

Terry is an average man in terms of weight and height. He is very old-fashioned Southern and grew up in that type of household. When he was younger, a gun accidentally went off and shot his leg but he has long since recovered. However, this has caused him to have slight limp while walking due to numerous surgeries and he cannot run very long at all. After the divorce of Cindy and Jeff he married Cindy some years after and the two have developed a deep bond for each other despite normal husband and wife bickering. Terry has always had to deal with being disliked by Cindy's mother and brother since the two met so there has always been tension there. He often tries to brush it off and act friendly toward Lee and Elsie because of his love for Cindy even though they do not show the same friendliness to him. Since he grew up country guns were a rather common thing so he became well trained in shooting and his good accuracy, which is why he uses a pistol. Due to him being a contractor before the apocalypse, he had many tools in his shop at home and he chooses to use a chainsaw to defend himself and his loved ones. Terry is a very caring man who loves his two stepchildren like they are his own and always attempts to show his love for them. However, when he gets angry he is very hard headed and can get to be very distraught. Surprisingly, there is only slight tension between Terry and Jeff. Over the years they have smoothed their relationship but during this whole new situation, that could change in an instant.

Jeff - Hunter, fisherman, former correctional officer, 52 years old

Jeff is a man of average height and a rather slim build. While he was young he spent most of his time outdoors hunting and fishing which has made him very well versed with the outdoors and he has said many times he would rather be out in the woods camping than cooped up in his apartment. Jeff is the best shot of any character due to his many years hunting and years as a correctional officer. His aim is exceptionally good and his accuracy is near perfect every time. He can also fight very well due to dealing with inmates for many years. Due to many years of smoking every day, his lung capacity is not the best so he does not have the conditioning to run very far but he is fairly strong. Jeff is a typical hardass and can be very stubborn. He has a very low tolerance for bullshit and he is not afraid to tell it like it is. With that being said, he is not an unfriendly person and actually enjoys helping others if he can. Jeff can also be described as a bit of a loner, he tends to distance himself from people because he would rather not get involved with them. However, he cares very deeply for his two sons and is there to protect them and guide them through any situation if they need him. He is also very good at making people feel better but is famous for giving good advice and not taking it himself.

Ronnie - Security guard, 54 years old
Cousin of Elsie, Lee, Jacob, Drew, and Cindy

Ronnie is an above average male at about average height. He and Elsie share a deep bond for each other and he will do anything to protect her. He has not seen his son for quite awhile due to them being distant from each other because of problems during his first marriage, so he often wonders about the fate of his son and this troubles him. He was a security guard during football games at the University of North Carolina so he has had some experience with firearms and is fairly accurate with a pistol. He has about average strength and speed for his age. Ronnie loves all of his cousins and is willing to protect them. Because he does not know the fate of his son, he is made it his mission to keep Elsie and the rest of his cousins safe from the many dangers that they face.

Jonathan - 25 years old

Jonathan is an average male in terms of height and weight and he was short brwon hair. He grew up playing baseball with Drew and Matt. He and Drew have been life long friends since they were young but when they parted ways and went to college the two did not stay in touch as much. Nevertheless, the two still share a good bond and will protect each other. Jonathan is willing to go along with the group on supply runs and do anything he can to contribute and has proven to be a valuable member.

Elsie - 77 years old

Elsie is an old woman of average weight and height with short blonde hair. She stays at her house in South Hill where she is taken care of by her son Lee. Her old age has given her many problems such as Arthritis and severe back pain. She can get up and walk around fine but she often gets winded and has trouble with her back, so she cannot walk for too long and she walks at a slow pace. Elsie is a very sweet, caring woman and is very good at cooking. Her husband, Buddy, passed away about two years ago and not a day goes by where she does not think about her husband of 53 years, she misses him very much. She cares very deeply for everyone around her, especially her family. She loves her children and grandchildren so much and is very emotional toward her loved ones. However, Elsie is a very stubborn woman and it is near impossible to change her mind. She is also a huge pessimist and often can never find the good in any situation. She also does not like Terry and that has caused a split and problems within her family for years. Despite that, Elsie is a very sweet old woman that wants nothing more than to see her family okay. She is also a Christian woman having read the Bible 13 times and she raised her children and grandchildren to be brought up that way.

Lee - Former teacher, 41 years old

Lee is a man of average height and an above average weight with a buzzcut. Ever since Lee was young he has suffered with severe depression and continues to suffer from to this very day. Lee loved his father, Buddy, dearly and was devastated by his passing away two years ago. He lives at home with his mother to take care of her and it is the main thing he is concerned with nowadays. When talked to, Lee can actually hold a very nice conversation and one can immediately tell how intelligent he is. Lee cares very deeply for his family, especially his mother. He also takes much of a liking to his two nephews since he never had children of his own, they are like sons to him. However, due to him constantly dealing with depression and social anxiety, he is often found in his room by himself watching T.V. or listening to his radio, he does not like to associate with people. Lee also holds an extreme dislike for Terry ever since Cindy started dating him. He is also very hesitant about coming in contact with zombies because he fears he will fold under pressure and he does not want to get in any uncomfortable situations. Lee wants to take care and look after those around him, not to prove it to anyone else, but because he has the desire to prove it to himself.
