Hello, typically on most sites I go by Havok, glad to see I could keep up that alias here. I'm 23 years old and a bit of a tech geek. I tend to write alot of videogame reviews/blogs/preveiws etc. I've always been a bit intrested in the idea of choose-your-own-adventure style writing and hope to one day find the time to sit down and actually write a story. I've also recently gotten into tabletop gaming, currently writing my own campaign, once I run it through its 7 sessions, I'll see about converting it over to a story here.

My very first story so bear with me. It's one of those more "story" than game". You're lying in your bed drifting off to sleep, the next thing you know, you awake in the middle of forest with no recollection of how you came to be there, is this a dream? Or is it something altogether different?...

....Have you beaten the game before?

Best thing I've found for permadeaths is move slow, heavy high defense units at the front (generals, paladins) front and center, speedy hard to hit guys on the flanks (assassins, and swordmasters) archers and mages up the middle, and heavy hitters (like Dart) at the rear with your healers. Your tanks soften them up, since they usually get a single strike, and then that frees you up to almost always be offensive and gives you good chances to get your lower level people some easier kills.

KEEP DART ALIVE not sure if you know it, but he has the best growth rate.

You're playing by far the hardest one for permadeath, Problem is the game is a giant dice roll, have you looked up strategies and whatnot, like box techniques and such?

Maybe that makes me the longest idiot member? Considering I've been around since 2010 and just now got involved?

Well, I wasnt aware a closet was involved but it was dark so please dont judge the orange sweater and purple capris, complimented with tubesocks and chacos

I just started posting in the forums today so I'm not sure when you guys consider one "dead" but Fire Emblem is hands down my favorite series, I've beaten all the english translations without losing anyone (its maddening but doable). If you're still looking for tips, Support conversations, and get your priests as much XP as possible are the two basic things to focus on.

Right?! I'll only say I vaguely hid in the shadows, I did send a few messages back and forth with a few members, but I guess we can consider this is me stepping into the light?

I just checked on that actually and I've been a member for a little over 5 years now, same account and everything. And oddly enough this is my very first post on the forums.
