STANNUM: a 15 year old girl with a rich couple as her parents. Her parents never talked to her and refused to give her anything, treating her as a slave, and her brothers as kings. The youngest of her older brothers, Seab, was the only one to treat her kindly, and they have both run away in the search of a new loving family.
FERRO: a 16 year old boy whose mother, his only living relative, has fallen to a grave, somewhat seemingly magical disease. He has never experienced great wealth, but his only true wish is to find the cure for this disease. It is rumored that the cure lies in the heart of the Black Mountains, the dwelling site of a dark dragon.
STIBIUM: a 17 year old boy who never had parents. He was adopted by a fiery dragon with shining black scales named Volfram at the age of 4. Stibium always looked up to Volfram, not realizing how many lives Volfram took on his daily "visits" to human societies until a few weeks before he turned 17.
