an old fashion whodunit

I think it would be nice if readers could change the background of the text to make it a little easier to read.  

A glaringly bright white background at 3 A.M. tends to grate on you.

A lot of e-readers have settings where you can change the background to black and text to white or the background to a manila color for easier reading.

I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but I think it would be a nice addition.
