When you sign up, you need to put in your birthday, but there is no info on how to write it, if you write a symbol like / it just deletes it. I think that there should be a sentence that goes something like "The date format is mm-dd-yyyy". It won't change much, but it will make some people slightly less confused, because dates are written differently around the world. It's also a very easy fix.
On another note, why does my birthday display with / signs if I go check it on my profile? It makes no sense to have one format somewhere, and another one elsewhere.

IIRC it used to say how it was supposed to be written. Not making sense is the hallmark of the site's code though so who knows - maybe it was meant to be fixed somehow and it didn't work out?

Isn't there still the little calendar thing that pops up for people to click the date? It should automatically format and stuff when clicking in that calendar. Will check later unless someone already knows and can answer sooner.
