I'm Kevin and I'm an IT guy, not a writer by any stretch of the imagination.
My latest pet project is developing Alexa skills. For those that may not know what those are, they are computer applications that you interact with via voice through Amazon Alexa devices like the Echo or Dot.
Because I have always loved choose your own adventure books (specifically Fighting Fantasy), I'd love to do something similar through Amazon Alexa. But, like I said, I'm not a writer.
I was wondering if anyone would like to work with me to get this up and running. Looking at the shear volume of stories on this site, I was hoping that someone may have already written something that I could transfer over to an Alexa Skill.
A couple of requirements as this would be my first attempt at doing something this complex:
- ?Short paragraphs would be preferred as Alexa reads quite slow
- Must be purely choose your own adventure, no items, fights, learned skills, etc
This will be a free skill, so I won't be charging for it or getting any sort of recompense?. Happy to credit the writer of course. Because of the way Amazon Web Services works, I'm fairly sure I could run this free of charge, so I won't actually be paying anything out either.
For info, this is purely a personal project and won't be associated with any business/corporate/etc identity.
