You play a university student in a nondescript person in a nondescript town during a nondescript post-apocalyptic time. Though the state of the world and reality changes and shifts sporadically, you are the only one in your town who remembers the changes. This game holds many character choices, room for character development and growth, difficult moral choices, and explicit (and often controversial) commentary on our obsession with power and control.
I suggest listening to Disparition while playing this game.
