I like where the story is going. It has good detail and I like that the character has a good amount of speaking roles. The only thing I want to point out though is that you should explain some things in detail more. You seem to be a fan of Greek mythology but I am not so some things were a little confusing. If you fix that then I think the next one will be better. Nice job.

I felt like I was enticed by the sirens in this gamestory as I played this for my third time lol

Mediocre retelling of the Odyssey, except it's framed as a new guy repeating Odysseus' adventure verbatim (which makes no sense). Very linear story with little value as a CYOA. If you want to learn about this period, just read a translation of the actual story instead.

Nice work! As a fan of Greek mythology I can say this is VERY accurate. Well done!

Not Bad... I think I chose the wrong branch in the story that's why it was "The End" for me so so soon. Thank you very much and please do continue making exciting mythological stories. :)

This storygame is perfect.I loved it.My favourite story is the Odyssey."Tell me, o Muse, of that ingenious man, who traveled far and wide, after he was spoken to by the gods themselves."It was fascinating.Nice writing, amazing effort.

Could be better if there were MORE endings available. But guess you can't change history by joining Greek and Sparta through marriage? ;)

The hallmark of a good story is that even though it has some length, you're sad when it ends. Great job. I was a little torn between the parallels to The Oddyssey, but in the end I thought it was well done.

This was just nice. A STORYgame with a good storyplot, not-too -long length and many details.
I really like how Greek mythology is used here. If one analyzes enough this story seems to be a version of the story of Odysseus...
All in all you made me spend all my cents here. 6/8.

I noticed three spelling mishaps but that didn't inhibit the reading very much, beautifully done.

I totally loved the story,it was not too long nor too short. I've been on this site for nearly 2 yrs as a guest and i have played many story games. still, this story can be called a 'masterpiece'and you(the author)should be an author if you are not. oh,and i am a hardore fan of percy jackson and the heroes of olympus series,so it was natural for me to develop an affection just by reading the title.hope my coment helped....

Really good, I was really into it, but it had a lot of annoying spelling errors! They really took me out of the moment. Seize =/= cease!

Love the parallel to Odysseus. The story was well-written and I felt that it was neither too short nor too long. Awesome story.

That. Was. Awesome! I Don't See How That Could Be Better. Maybe Next Time You Make A Game, And You Get Items, Health, That Kind Of Thing. This Deserves A Trophy, If I Could Give Them. A 8/8 Is The Best I Can Do, And I Will Keep On Looking Forwards For More!

It was a well thought out story, but it was extremely boring and I was unable to find enjoyment. There also could have been more depth and more choices.

A great story. It's a pleasure to read something written with passion and commitment from the author. Engaging tale, just about right for length too. Well done.

Really good, amusing and clever. My only suggestions are diverge a little from the oddesey. Other than that: awesome!

This is a VERY educational storygame. And wow, I like the plot and the way you put in everything was cool... I love Greek Mythology!
on 4/8/2014 7:03:29 AM with a score of 0
It feels like you're directly engaging in the story. It is definitely more "story" than "game", but the way that this story weaves so intricately into The Odyssey is amazing. I learned some new stuff about Greek mythology as well while playing the game.

The Odyssey all over, I didn't like the Odyssey much, or epic poetry in general (execpt Beowulf)
on 8/27/2013 4:20:00 PM with a score of 0
Well, since this story is based upon the Odyssey, you could situate this story around 1200 B.C, during the time Myceneans. Assuming that Lycurgus even existed, the Sparta in this story is long before Lycurgus was born ;)
on 4/19/2013 11:36:48 AM with a score of 0
A noble spartiate will never be caught using the bow, assuming this is post-lycurgus sparta. The spartans did employ mercenary archers and had non-spartan commoners from the countryside trained in archery.

Finally finished reading it! It's an interesting story, not really my thing but well written. I liked how you used the archaic kinda words. Some spelling and grammar error on the whazoo, but I guess that's inevitable in a long story. I've given it a 7/8.
-- Anyman on 1/21/2013 4:28:39 PM with a score of 0
i really liked it! You incorporated many of the plot elements of the Odyssey, but also managed to give your own twist to the story. There are some spelling and grammar errors, but they did not distract from the story. All in all: good job!

I loved it! Your way of putting the story is good and i like how ,since some of us don't know much about Greek mythology you gave the option for us to learn more about it so that we would understand the story. Can't wait until the rest is published!

The story so far is very good. I like how you maintained an elevated tone throughout. The individual scenes could a little more detail. Of course, these comments only apply to the path I chose and might not apply to the story as a whole.
