A tragic tale of love and loss.

You've inherited a haunted cottage.  You wish to convince the ghost within to move on to the afterlife.

Show her items you find around the house to awaken her memories.  But be careful, you have a limited amount of time, and not all memories are pleasant ones!

Hints- each item is tied to one of four emotions.  Try to figure out and focus on specific feelings to obtain the "better" endings.

Extra special hint- try using items in other rooms besides the parlor.

There are, if I did this correctly, thirteen different endings to this game.  Your score should correspond to the number ending you received.  (Higher numbers are not necessarily better.)

Note- in order to fix the scoring bug, I had to put a blank page after the ending.  When you click on "End Game and Leave Comments" you will go to an otherwise blank page titled "The End"-- this is not a bug.  Click on End Game and Leave Comments again to access the comments screen.

Disclaimer- opinions expressed as to the nature of the afterlife are not necessarily those of the author or anyone else.  If games about ghosts offend you, feel free to go enjoy someone else's game.  I suggest 8 goals, 28 rolls.  Unless dice games offend you.

Nice little tale, short and sweet. Easy to get into, easy to progress through, appealing and addictive, as I want to find out all the other endings. Dialogue strong, some more description would've been nice, but not necessary.

That was an awesome storygame, Sethaniel. The writing was great, and it was a cool idea how the items brought back certain memories, and there were even hidden items. I enjoyed trying to figure out what items to use and which not to use. I also loved how you have different endings and how in different combinations, different things happen. This truly was delightful to read :)

Please continue to write like this and please continue with these original ideas!

it was a fun and easy read. i got a happy ending since i just showed the ghost all the items that are likely to inspire good memories. it can be tedious collecting the items. i would like this even better if the plot forces me to make hard decisions instead of simply showing any items to the ghost or choosing the risk-free way of showing the happy items to the ghost.
