This is a brief introduction covering the first chapter or two of a book I plan to (eventually) write. It shares a setting with another interactive work of fiction I write called Banished Quest. This is mostly a game for those already familiar with the setting, though I'll endeavor to explain what I feel the main character ought to know.

This wasn't originally intended for a wide audience, but I figured why not. I've enjoyed the stories posted on this website quite a bit and I figured I'd give a little bit back to the community.

The tone is rather serious, and overall the game is rather short. Pretty much every 'ending' has been given its own little epilogue, though all death endings share the same epilogue.
