Just a short story I submitted into a contest. It's focused on a sole survivor in an apocalyptic situation and dealing with his emotions. Feel free to check it out!

I know the heart shaped locket was part of the contest prompt, almost seems sadistic of them to saddle all these authors with it because it almost automatically saddles you with a "sad reminiscence" scene. But the story is really well done, it'll be interesting seeing how you place seeing you're up against literally thousands of people there.

Agreed. Probably won't place but hey, I'm doing it for me and my enjoyment. Not for the money. It was at the very least an intriguing challenge!
