Congrats on crushing the opposition in round one! Hopefully you are now both a bit more evenly matched and we'll get an epic battle of this.

As a reward for sucking less than your former opponents, I'm not going to put any restriction on genre. The only thing the story HAS to contain is the prompt: whatever kind of story you write, events have to center around a marvelous invention.
