This feature was rejected 10/14/2006: What Nate said, and also you can already do this by adding the word "DEMO" to the storygame title and hiding a link or restricting it otherwise.

Could we have there be an option on the Game Properites page to make a demo of your story? You would be able to decide what pages the readers are able to play, and you are able to edit the story while poeple play the "Demo Version".

well, first, demos have already been suggested. however, i will vote against it. this only encourages people to make part of a game, have poeple play it then the author abandons it. we want to encourage full games. not demos.

Gotcha. But this would help with my Jedi story that I'm making, since I plan to keep adding missions every once and a while.

This is sort of a twist of, "Can you make it so I can edit my story while it is published?" I know what you mean, with Serpentine, I'd like to add a few extra missions in every now and then without losing ratings (when I publish it).

I just really hate it when people go, "This was a demo version" at the end of their stories, and then never add on to it.
