This is not for "seignority" or to show authority, or to show off, i would like to see <MOD> or <ADMIN> tags next to our names in the forums, this is so members know who to contact, who to deal with for advice, etc. i am just trying to make intentions clear along with the Fww :)

These could be useful, for the new people. After about a month it would be useless to them though, and could be a bit annoying to the usual users.

yeah thats what i was thinking, maybe just in our profiles? because in normal pphbb forums, there are tags like that...

I like this idea. no-one knows who is a mod without picking up hints from the forums. It should be posted on the profile as well.
