Suggestions for improvements and additions to the site.
This feature was rejected 6/11/2007: nah, too hard to do, and really not helpful.

I hink it would be cool if it said where we were at on the site on our account in parenthesis behind our name. Like:

DarthVader_13, the wordsmith (forums) or (playing a game) or (making a game) or (main page)

Would that work?

That took me a second to get BUT I TOTALLY AGREE :D Except I think you should hover over them and it should show up because it would take too much room BUT YEAH and DEFININTLY INCLUDE IDLE

from what i remember, alex has things on a delay. so this wouldnt be very accurate. what i mean is, when you sign off, your name stays up for a few minutes after you have left. this occurs for the whole site. therefore, you can be noted as being in the forums, but you could have already signed off. not to mention, why would i want to know if someone is in the forums? if you are busy, dont click on private messages.

Its useful because you will know if they will respond to private messages or respond to a debate you are continuing in the forums, etc.  I like the idea, too bad for the delay.

But what if you had multiple pages open?  Sometimes I do that if I'm working on a game, but also talking in the forums or PMing.

yes, but we should include this with the active ratings:

Rommel (hyperactive), (editing)

How would it decide who is hyperactive, etc.

Another of these ideas was posted concerning activeness (how much time lately spent on-site). If we fused these features, it would be good.
