This is an ok idea, but the problem is that there would be other people creating many short story games that can just be combined into one game, by publishing and unpublishing and publishing. And there is a possible chance that there will be many games like AWESOME GAME YOU CAN'T MISS!!! published... I..can't stand those..I'm sorry.

Guys go host them at blogger or something then post a link or host them in the forums.  I wrote a 30 page linear story and put it in the forums...

You should get points for them though, and have guests look at them. And we already have storygames with no effort, it's no different with stories. Just rate them a 2.

That is why they should go in another category. And also, if you don't like them, dont play them or rate them a 1.

And JJJ, when you say "for a reason", you never seem to give the alleged reason...

This is a writing site. In the form of Choose Your Own Adventures.

If we do this, then we have to accept riddles, poetry and if we accept poetry then we should have to accept art, etc.

This is not a good idea.

you guys are on the brink of being totally hypocritical:

They are STORIES. I believe the admins wanted this to be a STORYGAME site. Not poetry or somesuch. Stories.

We have all sorts of input that aren't storygames, and some that are storygame-oids. We have CYOA movies, quizzes, tests, simulators, comedy routines, dice games and Nassau coliseum, which doesnt have any game or story elements at all. If we allow these in because they use multiple choice, why don't we look at the other side of the coin: THE STORY. If we have dice games and simulators just because they use multiple choice, why not have stories because they are narratives? In fact there IS a poetry storygame... This site has two main leanings: Stories and Games. If we expand on one side we should do the same for the other.

the problem with straight stories has been discussed before. the fact is, our own website name says choose! lol therefore, we need to have things where you can choose what to do. straight stories are not within that restriction.

Wait a minute-- your arguement here seems to be:

My short stories are better than my storygames.

Therefore, the site should feature my short stories.

(What exactly do you mean by "feature" in that case, anyway?)

How should the site publish your stories?

Do you mean like you posted them in the forum, or like, they should be in the magazine?

I'm having so much fun going through the rejected list... ITs like...
