This feature was rejected 6/11/2007: nope. Teh best games are featured. People who make horrible games would "showcase" them - making just another useless category. march

Why not have a category where everyone can only contribute one game. It would be their prize game, masterpiece, or somesuch. It should remain in the other category as well, but should be in Showcase Games as well, like how a game can be in New games and Sci-Fi. The cysid should be in a spotlight on a stage.

Hey Rommel this is a magnificent idea except for ONE PROBLEM!!! What about people who have like 2-3 games, and they think they have a good game BUT ITS NOT THAT GOOD, then they put it in there...

Like it has to be moderated.

Actually, my intention is that everyone puts in their BEST. EVERYONE. The mods should choose which one but it should be one for every published member - a showcase for everyone.

I think you are thinking about the frontpage, which will be basically that. I do get you about the 'n00bs getting a 2 rated game in' thing. Maybe a minimum of 10 ratings, with an overall rating of 5 or higher?

The only problem I see with this is, say JJJ put "The Tower" into the Showcase category, then when he publishes "Tower II" he wants that to be his new Showcase game. Doesn't he have to unpublish "The Tower" to move it out of the Showcase category, thus deleting everyone/anyone's saved Tower games?

You should have a little checkbox on my games/stories next to each game. only one can be checked at a time. No unpublishing, and the game will still be in it's original category as well (think of it as an extension of the top games category).

Yeah, youd press See All Showcase Games On the Top Games catagory.

yeah, it wouldnt delete any saves or anything, its just placed in that category ALONG with its original category.

But the Showcased games would be slightly different. The top games are rated 7 or more consistently, while showcased games are rated 5 or more and have a limit of 1 per author.
