The ones listed on the home page are decided by us (the admins).

The ones in the category page are determined by teh system -- basically, just the highest overal user rating.

March, the admin that picks games, has seniority to pick his favorite games to be category featured. the top games category are picked do to the player rating.

nope. no polls, votes, or anything. just plain ol march opinion. however, since he is only human you can bug him like a few people have and have your game featured if you are good at it lol.

All ratings combined by number of ratings to the nearest number equals the score.  Is there a way that it could be a little more specific (life 4.8 instead of 5?)

The one listed on the Games page (i.e., the ones picked by the system) are picked require a minimum number of Plays and a minum number of Ratings. I don't know what that number is off hand, though.

But, no, a single "8" rating will not put it on that list.
