Has anyone read Jack Heath's The Lab and Remote Control? For anyone who hasn't, The City (where the books take place) has been taken over by ChaoSonic, a corporation which now crushes all other buissness. The corporation now hires the entire workforce, makes the laws and turns the last vestige of civilization on the planet into a dystropia.
The people still have freedom (clubs, etc..) but ChaoSonic is looking for more and more ways to control and exploit the populace...
ChaoSonic has no ethics, and continues to search for ways to lay off thousands of employees, making the CEOs richer and the retirees live in abject poverty.
As well as that, there are several paramilitary organizations who are little better than ChaoSonic, such as Vanish, led by a man who's only goal is to achieve immortality through the suffering of others.
In the midst of this carnage, a vigilante organization known as the Deck, for it's constant usage of card game terms, has created a Code, the last ethical law in the City. the Deck pursues all CodeBreakers and 'shuffles' them, locking them up in untracable cells. The Deck's ultimate objective is probably the downfall of ChaoSonic, although this is never actually stated.
Six of Hearts is a Deck field agent. He has no name except Six, which is because he is a super-soldier genetically enchanced in Project Falcon. He is the best field agent there is, but must hide his origins from the Spades, who would consider him a security risk, and ChaoSonic, who would consider him a security risk AND experiment on him. Six is however, very idealistic, which would seem to conflict with his thoughts which are completely logical...
