Dust off a seat and discuss a good book here...you do read, right?

The Ender Series

Hey Guys,

ive been kept away from the site due to some work to be done, and in my spare time, i have been reading. I started by reading Enders Game and then learned that it had evolved into a series. And then I learned that there was a parallel novel which made a segway into another series with most of the same characters. Currently i have read two books from both series. I rememebr october brought up Enders game before, but i would like to bring it up again because A) its really interesting me B) i wanna talk about how the author makes the future seem and C) the forums are dead.

I love how the author has made predictions about the predicaments of the future, of how superpowers change, and how nations become stronger. I truly believe that Orson Card (the author) successfully made the book believable.

I basically talked in circles in the above paragraph, but o well, do u guys have any thoughts/arguments/comments to add?

I never read it. But maybe I will. It looks like a decent book from what I'm reading.

When I said reading, I meant Reading from what you wrote.

Yep.. easily one of the best books ever. I haven't read any more of the series, and didn't even know the sequels existed. Good on you for reading Ender's Game and finding out about the extra books, but I'm afraid I won't be able to comment as I haven't read any of the sequels yet.

There's also one called Xenocide, I can see it in my bookcase. I can't remember a lot about it though, but that I remember thinking it was sort of wierd, compared to the other books, which I thought were great.

Im waiting on Xenocide, which is on hold in the library, and thats also why i am reading the parallel novels right now. They are available in the library. Currently im on Shadow Puppets, the third book in the parallel series. As i have said, i love the how the world is perceived by the author in that time period! its so.... unpredictable yet it makes sooo much sense when you think about it!
