Dust off a seat and discuss a good book here...you do read, right?

7 ancient wonders, 6 sacred stones

Matthew Reilly, Australian action master, has launched his new series, for the first time involving an Australian (as opposed to American) protagonist. Capt. Jack West Jr. is launched into a struggle for the lost capstone of the great Pyramid of Giza, recovering relics from the 7 Wonders of the World. The Vatican and Europe, the US and a coalition of several smaller countries desperate to stop them all struggle to control the capstone, for whoever places their nation's soil in the capstone at midday on Tartarus will rule the world or they could also get a long era of peace, but noooo, guess what, no-one actually wants ANY peace.

Like many of his books he villanizes a lot of major countries and cops flak for it, so if you are easily offended don't read it.

6 sacred stones is the sequel, which I have not read yet, but am waiting for the library to get it.

Seriously, you have to read this. It is Ice Station crossed with Indiana Jones.

I've read Contest, Ice Station, Area 7, Scarecrow, Hell Island, Hover car Racer and 7 ancient wonders.

6 sacred stones is out in bookshops, but I cant be bothered shelling out for it, so I have to wait until it comes out in libraries.

Trust me, 7 AW is like Scarecrow with pyramids, traps and other indiana jones necessities.
