How the hell do I progress in both games? I couldn't find ingredient 2 or 4 in the first Halloween Adventure storygame, and in the second I ended up in an infinite loop.

In Halloween adventure 2: I can't find the page where I need to combine the string and the sling shot to knock out the guard in order to progress. What items do stuff? It seems like 90% of all the items do absolutely nothing. I feel like I missed some context, I'll replay it a few more times carefully...

In Halloween adventure (1): I knocked out the monster near the stairs, but I need a "master ingredient" to progress - but I can't find all 5 ingredients. Specifically 2 and 4. Do I just go to every page and use every item until something happens? Is there a hidden page somewhere that I didn't see? Why is there a transparent 1px by 1px .gif in the top right of the info page?

Are both games just bugged out to the max to the point there's no way to beat them anymore?

Oof, yeah. That was back when I didn't even have an account. Don't remember it well enough to say. Might get back to it tomorrow though.
