Finally Found Farewell, My Childhood Self Art

If anyone's interested, I finally stumbled upon the art for Farewell, My Childhood Self, that beautiful game that truly drew and captivated me in. It was like I was living a fantasy. A sad one in fact. Was he living in heaven, in his dreams, or what? Make it a sequel! Anyways...

The art is on Deviant Art, a website many of you should be familiar with =).

I tried contacting the author on where she got the art, but haven't gotten a reply back.

Honestly, I don't know if this thread is the right place to be in the forums since its more on the artwork of a game rather than the choose your own adventure game yourself.

Anyways, hope you guys enjoy! Links are below.

I am not trying to advertise any person's art here. Just showing you guys where ms. apple got the art from.

Also, from meago's art link (the 2nd one), the two characters are Mina and her mom Emily. And it seems meago is the one who created the character Emily, apple's inspiration for Sophie's tragic life since apple uses more images using Emily to represent Sophie.

EDIT: Found out Emily is in love with this guy name Bob after going through more of meago's art. Perhaps your name is Bob in the game?

Thanks! It's always a pleasure to help someone out.

And I apologize if I couldn't put the links in a clickable format like you did. I'm still kinda new to this site's features.

Hell, if the author doesn't create a sequel, then I'll write an unofficial one myself. I'm too anxious to wait any longer.

She seems to be on vacation I guess.. since she hasn't joined in like a month and it is summer. Don't know for sure though

And all I did was copy paste. No idea why yours did not work. And I fully support you making a sequel if it is allowed. I am not a writer but I can come up with some good ideas

But due to the nature of the game, does it have to be a sequel? Why not just something similar to it?

Because in my honest words, I and perhaps others have fallen in love in the game. Not like some crazy obsession you know. It truly connected with me and my life, and has given me a new meaning to love and sacrifice. And another view on fate. When has any other choose your own adventure game done that? Or online game? Well, if it has to other people, then maybe I should play more games =).

It could be good to end a game like that to where it is. But in my opinion, it deserves more...justice? (if that's the right word to use). And what about the other aspects?

That's why there is so much to do in a sequel. To explore more sides of things. To see if in reality, true loves end up like in applegirl's game. Her game does that well, but I believe a fan could do well also.I think its worth a shot.

I agree, that game did touch me to and, this is honestly not something I ever expected myself to say, change my view on life. I loved that game. So, I agree with you, but the reason I asked is "why make a sequel" is cause there is no reason to keep on the same story applegirl made but create a similar one with the aspects you would like to add

I don't mean to be selfish in a bad sort of way, but I don't want the story to end...just yet? I've had a sequel in mind eversince I played through it. Creating a...clone in my opinion would not be good =(. Also, I've become too attached to the story and the characters to simply let them go.

Hope this clarifies my reasons.
