1) Modern with some sci-fi. Like Metal Gear Solid or GI Joe. If fantasy, then it'll be medieval-like setting with knights and mercenaries, and a lot of conflicts. Magic has little presence because my magic imagination isn't that good (call me weird, but that's just me. I'm not as magic-based as you guys. I prefer technology over magic).
2) Male or female, it depends on the setting. For modern sci-fi, I think a male protagonist would fit more. But for fantasy, I prefer female.
Modern sci-fi: The setting will be inspired by Metal Gear Solid, GI Joe, and other action games with guns, tanks, ninja soldiers, shits like that. A male protagonist who is either a former subject of a super soldier program or a former soldier/special forces operator. He's a serious person, but can be random at times. He can be professional, suave, and aggressive at the same time. But he's mostly professional and acts depending on the situation. He's either a straight or bisexual (still prefer ladies though) man, but he won't hesitate to pop a bitch when necessary. He's also most likely an antihero.
He is highly skilled, but not a gary stu. There are still many guys/gals that are better than him, and he has troubles dealing with them. Skilled in usage of various firearms, particularly handguns, automatics, and precision rifles. He's a skilled martial artist (MMA, but mostly kickboxing) and skilled in bladed weaponry.
He has medium-length hair and slender build.
For the female, similar like the male, but more serious at times. Still has a sense of humor though. Just replace assault rifles and other guns with swords, halberds, and bows. Has different background and more introverted.
3) It would be too long and too complicated to describe. But just imagine Metal Gear Solid and Dark Souls mixed with Berserk, that's all.
4) Kicking ass > relationships > diplomacy
5) I mostly plan days before I write. The storyline, characters, etc. Lot of things are inspired by other fictions. I write shorter and less-detailed than you guys, and somewhat techno-detailed at times.
6) I created a forum game a day ago, so you can check it out to see how I write. A good chance to get some members to join, indeed.
