Player Comments on American Outlaws: The Dillinger Gang
So while this game was very well written and deserves a respectable rating, it just didn't really captivate me the same way the first two did.
There were some differences between this game and the previous ones, namely less opportunities to kill. Although considering that was a complaint in previous games, I don't blame you for cutting it out.
I did have sympathy for the protagonist, after all, there were very few ways to make money during the Great Depression outside of committing crimes.
Ultimately, it does well as a standalone, but tends to fall flat when compared to its' predecessors.

The story was great rather enjoyable it had some very interesting aspects it was a wonderful read I love the details and the actual true choice, some of these games I've played are broken and the whole story is a railroad for one purpose like the one I was playing earlier but this author has a truly interesting style to the way they make their stories and the choices you make actually mean something. Find it so annoying when you play a game of choice and if you don't choose the exact choice the author wanted you to you're instantly dead, this game does not do that this game lets you make choices and discover paths and it's a very interesting game I definitely recommend it.

This was certainly an enjoyable game.
The great depression was a fascinating moment in American history and the gangsters that emerged from that time period have always fascinated me. Being part of one of those notorious gangs is a fantastic concept and I feel like Will11 pulled it off nicely.
The robberies are intense and exciting, the choices are unpredictable but fair and the endings are well thought out and satisfying. The dialogue and atmosphere reflects the time period well, and the action scenes pack enough weight to be entertaining.
While this was indeed an interesting read, the fascinating real life characters are never fleshed out as well as they could be and end up seeming like little more than famous names that will inevitably die throughout the story. John Dillinger was an extremely interesting figure and it is a shame the gamebook only gleams the surface of his personality. This was well written, only let down by a few stilted sentences and awkward grammar.
American Outlaws: The Dillinger Gang was a worthwhile read and an enjoyable experience. 6/8

Finished another great gang story. I loved the story, and I thought some parts were pretty suspenseful. I realized the lack of commas in several places and it bothered me a bit but other than that it's a solid story!!

I liked it. I think the era was accurately captured. It was somewhat historically informative too, but I feel like there could have been more content. Mostly it was just robbing banks. I get that, that is what the game is. But making it longer with more fluff would have made it a little better.

3 in a row of good gang stories...
Absolutely nice. You managed to retain the format of choices used in your two previous stories of gangs.
Only shortcoming was it coulda been a bit longer, but that's it. I thoroughly enjoyed your three gang stories, and I sure hope the fourth will be enjoyed as well.
Worth it all be cents stored in ze basement. 6/8.

Huh, I killed more people than Baby Face Nelson.
As for the storygame itself; just as good as the last ones, although I found more grammar and spelling mistakes and some sentences could be re-written to flow better. But overall, it was another fantastic storygame.

Stop making these games. They're far too fun and distracting. At this rate, I'll never get any work done.
Seriously though. Kudos on another great game. Who would have thought that being a psychopathic murderer would help in being a bank robber? Apparently this guy. Way to show me what kind of robber I'd really be.

Awesome game! I'm amazed I even survived at all on this one try. In the beginning I was always being as non-violent as possible and just sticking to bank robberies, but before long I ended up killing as many people as possible just to stay alive. It's interesting how it escalated like that.
