It's a start. Murder mysteries are very fun.

There are many dead ends in the story. You hit the second page and immediate get hit with a "click here to go back or leave game". It forces you to use the items to continue on the story and pretty much railroads you to the ending. There really isn't a way to not win - because even if you choose the wrong person, it just says "Good guess, but try again".

The writing itself isn't bad, just very linear. Plot wise - it makes no sense for a singer to be able to test blood and have access to the security footage (also why wasn't that an option off the bat?).

The item use was good, except the itunes card would loop you if you used it.

Overall, I think it didn't hit the mark. Like I said, it's a start - but not a finished product.

An ok story and good use of the items but it seems a bit strange that the police just randomly allow a member of the public to conduct their investigation for them, also I'm not sure what the motive was. A bit more depth to the story including more of a back story for the main character and other characters (rather than have them just listing their criminal histories it might be more fun to discover these through careful questioning) would improve it but in it's current form it's still quite enjoyable :)

I enjoyed the game about finding the murderer.

This game starts out with a nice idea and concept, but does not quite develop it to its potential. Although it was short, it was ok, but it could benefit from some more work on the narrative.

Some of the writing was a bit choppy, but other than that nothing that distracted from the story. However. this story could really use a bit more "story" in it. this game could be much better with a lot more insight into the main character and a bit more description in general. It is just really really short, and that takes away from the story since it ends before you really get into it.

On a technical note, I hit some broken links or dead end pages that required the go back button.

Overall, this story is OK. It is a good concept that needs more development to add depth.

ITS SO FUN PLAY NOW

You have a cool Clue type mystery game on your hands but its been executed poorly. The game is not irredeemable you would just need to fix the Links that lead to nowhere and write more story to make people actually care about solving the mystery like include interactions with the suspects or explain why the lead character is spearheading the investigation, make the little things count more for the players.
I've noticed this is the first game you've published (I assume) and all I want to say is work on the craft and soon you'll have something good.

So...perhaps I was just unlucky, but this storygame took me to a dead end page with no way to proceed. When you examine the filing cabinet, there's an option which says "Click here once you've examined all the items". Except that I hadn't finished examining everything. I proceeded to examine everything else - by which point, of course, the Filing Cabinet was no longer in my inventory. Therefore, the player is now stuck with a bunch of useless items and no link to continue. I ended up just clicking Back, of course, but that's something that ought to be fixed.

It wasn't bad as a whole, although rather linear. You don't really get to know any of the suspects aside from a set profile. Actually, I felt as if I WAS a detective employed by the police rather than a random number of the public. (Why did they ask me to investigate? I don't know.)

It's a nice game to plow through, but it was missing a few things.

Nice concept but I would really have liked the game if it was longer and more interesting. Also, make it harder. A story is always better if it's challenging.

It was a good effort on your part, but overall, it's not what you would call "great". Calling it "good" might be stretching it a bit, as well. The game provides very little evidence and doesn't "tie together" like a true mystery does. There's also a few plot holes. In the end, I just ended up pointing fingers at random people because there wasn't any real way of deduction. Good effort for the advanced editor aspects, but the plot needs some working on.

I felt like it was a bit too obvious who it was. Like, he was the only one with big criminal records. And also, have you ever played Mystery Room? It could really help with this game. Oh, and maybe you could add a bit more evidence? But with some work, I think that this could be an excellent game!

I kind of skimmed through it and I got the right person. I'm going to play again! Superb job! Loved it!
