This is the first book of what is intended to be an extended adventure. When the reader reaches one of the successful endings here, they will be rewarded with a unique code (the "seed") to transfer into the next book. The seed will contain an encoded set of information that will set up the next part of the story.
This means that the consequences of your actions here will affect the outcomes of the rest of the story, going far beyond the events in this single book... Players can replay this part of the story to get different endings with different seeds to set up whole new storylines later.
