Hello.

Long time reader and writer, history and culture buff.  Generally I write about almost anything that will end in some sort of tragedy *cough*.  Currently traveling through the inner sanctums of hell (undergraduate college) and hoping to make absolutely no mark on the world.  My interest are long walks on the beach, killing off beloved characters as brutally as possible, tennis, reading...you get the point.  I hope you enjoy my stories, and feel free to leave feedback (I'm sure I'll appreciate it eventually).  Stay inspired, fair winds and all that crap.

Storygames

What Triumph Looks Like

This is my first attempt at an interactive story-game. It may contain some offensive material, as it is written from the perspective of a boy living in England in an alternative universe in which the Nazi's won World War Two. Please read at your discretion, and leave feedback!

The First Crusaders
unpublished

My second attempt at a story-game, this time a little more ambitious and written from a different point of view. Based in the time before and during the First Crusade of 1096-1099, you have the option to choose 3 of it's influential Christian leaders: Count Raymond of Toulouse, Bohemond of Taranto, or Peter the Hermit. Can you guide your character to the liberation of the Holy Land? Or will you die at Jerusalem's gates?

(As always, comment, review, and leave feedback! Thanks)

How exactly does one do thar?  Could you give me the step by step in the basic editor?  I know next to nothing about this, just got into writing story games.  Thank you!

Is that only a setting in advanced?  I'm using the basic editor.

Yeah, i know, sorry.  It's not really easy to describe...Say i want to, instead of copying and pasting (because i am so far into a story arch and it would be a pain in the a** to go back) want to offer the same choices on a different story arch with the same text with an overall different outcome.  How would i accomplish this?

I'll give you an example from my story.

Someone chose to recruit group "a" people way back in the beginning.  They could either keep just group a, or recruit more.  If they recruit more, wayyyy down the road it will effect the story arch.

I want to take all of the descriptions and options from that, but with the twist at the end without linking back to the original outcome.

Does that make a little more sense?

Hello,

I'm working on a new choose your own adventure game, and i was wondering if there is any way to link to a page without having to "link" to a page.  Meaning is there any way to choose a prior page without having it link back into the other choices?

If that still is confusing, this might help demonstrate what i'm trying to ask.

Route b-choice 2- transition link-outcome 2

Route b-choice 1- transition link- outcome 1

I want to know how to link to the transitional link for ease without reconnecting to the other route.

Sorry, that might be a bit confusing.  Thanks for working with me.

Regards,

Bismarck

I'm sorry.  Of course not.  I forgot the coding machine in the last transmission, comrade.

Newbie Looking for Feedback on 6/1/2016 6:46:24 PM

I honestly don't think it's very good.  Any feedback would be appreciated.  I'm working on another story-game currently, which should be ten times better (I learn from my mistakes comrade)

Yes, definitely.  I've been a long time reader and writer, just never thought I could write (a good) story-game.  It definitely is a nice environment, I've found the people here to share my subversive views on capitalism and the demise of the one percent very helpful and welcoming.

You, I like you.  Bismarck's the name, destroying capitalism and evoking worldwide proletariat revolution is my game  writing stories is my game.  How do you do, Steve?
