I'm co-authoring a game and with all the variables I have, I was trying to think of ways to make them more clear to other users on the site.

How about a variable description box? That way if a co-author clicks on the variable in the edit screen, they can read what the variable is and how it's implemented in the storygame. 

It would make things so much easier and less confusing.

Yes, I think this would be useful. Sometimes I can have confusing variable names and if I were to ever have a coauthor on one of my games it would be easier for us I think

Agreed. Definitely. And maybe the description box could be shown to players (if they scroll their mouse over the variable name). That would be useful.

Those all sound like great ideas. 

Right now, I usually end up making a page in my games just to remind me what the variables mean, since I've often given them non-indicative names because otherwise I can't sort them.

Great idea! Once I start getting into the more complex games I'm making and create like 50 variables, that should come in handy.

This would be a great help and very much appreciated.
