That's all it is really. When it comes to checking if images have been inserted correctly etc. it'd reduce chances of people messing up and having to quickly fix it before anything happens.

I mean, it's not a "bad" idea, but I don't think we want to encourage people to be posting photos and other stuff. The amount this comes up makes it a case where even if we wanted it it'd be more effort than it's worth.

On the other hand, it might prompt people to think twice before they post.

I thought this was supposed to be an option, not a mandatory "this is your post, are you sure you want to do this" screen?

By prompt, I think that having a preview button would make people want to preview their work because it's a button and we should click it.
