Your mother was cast aside by your father for certain 'unnatural' practices. Raised by your overly strict father, you always felt as though you didn't belong in the village, and the way the other villagers treated you didn't help. So, what are you going to do about it?

(This story sort of ran away with itself and I ran out of time, so I hope there's enough 'whore' and 'witch' in it to qualify.)

Men from over the sea are attacking your kingdom, and as a landed noble it is your duty to lead the men into battle that serve on your land in peacetime.  This is the first war that has been waged in your land since before your father's time and you're not sure what to expect.  Whatever happens, it is unlikely that your life will be the same afterwards.

I second this, but aren't all suggestions pretty much a lost cause at this point?

Yeah, it's a bit hard to tell if this really is a comedy or if the narrator just has a sense of humor. :)

Question: Is this based on who we want to win as a person, or who we think has the best chance of winning?

But, I must admit, the whole scenario with the guy coming in claiming to see the Dullahan makes me think of the scene in Pete's Dragon where Lampy sings a whole song about seeing a dragon, even though no one believes him.  But darker.
