Sam, his girlfriend Chris, and his best friend Jake are camping in the woods when they are attacked by a strange creature.

This is an extremely simple maze game with one goal- find your friends and get away from the creature.

There are five possible endings (not counting deaths.)  One good, one not-so-good, and one special ending for each character.

This was a pretty fun storygame. Nice use of directions and exploration. The different characters and special endings do add replay value. Still, it's over a little too quickly.

The writing is concise, and I get the impression that's the idea, so that the game feels fast-paced. Even with few words you manage to set the eerie atmosphere well and you keep the experience from feeling monotonous.

The story, while simple, does manage to hold a lot of mystery and questions, which is appreciated. The special endings were all worth looking for.

It's quite fun to find all the little secrets this storygame has to offer. However, due to the limited number of said secrets, this game isn't as replayable as I want it to be. That's a shame becuase it makes you want to play multiple times. Still, I can't decide whether the relatively small explorable world is better than if you expanded it into something bigger.

All in all, a good solid game with some surprises but I do feel it's too short. I get that you didn't want to merge this with the sequel because of the different game mechanics, but it would have at least made this a meatier storygame.

Solid game, could use some more detail about the creature itself, but the game is pretty good.

This game was mostly just randomly picking a direction and hoping for the best. It was rather confusing and I found myself bored. The ending was interesting, however, and I will be replaying to find all of the others. Unfortunately though, the game is still mind numbing boring.

At first I tried to play this game as far as I could and I got really frustrated because I kept retracing old paths but when I took the time to map it out on a sheet of paper I had a much better understanding of the layout of the whole game... very very fun! :) I'm gonna play the second one now. So glad you made a second one- I loved the first!

A bit more description would be nice. Are there broken branches on the ground? Foot prints? If you look in each direction, what do you see? Maybe a bit more sense of where you are would help too. Such as ___ far away north/east/south/west of the camp, or where the ranger station is compared to the camp. A description of what the creature looked like, or if any of your friends fell behind because of their lack of agility (or you falling behind). There's many places where detail would be much appreciated.

I think you need to show us where we are in the woods so we don't get confused like I did. Other than that great story
