It Was a Dark and Creepy Night

Ok first off dark and creepy night? You couldn’t come up with anything more original? I mean you literally just replaced stormy with creepy.

Also why am I outside in the dead of night? My character is given no explanation as to why they are in this situation you are just thrust into it with no context.

The random deaths with no indication of what was the better choice wasn’t helpful either. Also you die climbing the fire escape if you don’t check out the dead hobo first which is just devoid of logic. The most annoying part was you berated me for making the wrong decision.

I’m the one who decided to read your stupid game so if you’re going to be a little jerk about it then I’ll give you a bad rating. Though I was going to give this a low rating anyway since it lacks branching, plot depth, or length.

The only arguably cool thing about this story is the dragon that can magically fit in an apartment building. I don’t know why it felt the need to offer me a riddle than just eat me like it does in the other choices when you don’t turn on the apartment lights.

Anyways this story could have added more but the writer clearly didn’t feel the need to elaborate on anything to make this story remotely interesting.

Well, it had good details, nice and gruesome, but each link was practically just a 50/50 chance of dying. Next time, don't call me dumb, a fool, or an idiot for clicking on a link. I can't read your mind - half the time, the truly smart and logical choice still killed me. Before you go and just make every link leading to your death, try to take the time to just make a more complete story with more pages after each link before you die.
I died twice on the first page. How fun is that?

I would prefer not to be called an idiot for not knowing a hard-ass math problem, thanks.

I just loved the pure chaos. Have a nice life or whatever.

My first impression was an extreme lack of detail. There could easily have been paragraphs elaborating on surroundings, emotions, and backstory, but there’s only one sentence per trait of the surroundings.

One sentence shows the existence of the homeless man. There could have been so many more sentences describing him. Before it’s revealed he’s dead, give some clues to the reader. Elaborate on how stiff he looks or how pale his skin is before the main character walks up to him. Or don’t, and expand on how not-dead he looks. Any elaboration would be better than what there is now.

The riddle was a math question, not a riddle. If you want to ask a math question that the reader will have to think over, at least provide a few more options so that they aren’t as inclined to just guess.

There isn’t any horror. The general attitude of the story is humor. Humor isn’t necessarily bad, but there’s too much of it to make this story spooky. There was a dead guy, but his death didn’t feel like a warning to the horrors of that building. The death traps in the building didn’t feel dangerous. The way to fix this is pretty obvious: Elaborate. Elaborate on the main character’s fright, elaborate on how warm the blood splattered down the stairs is, elaborate on the mold-green color of the dragon’s scales, just elaborate!

Way too short and not at all creepy. Because of its lack of creepiness, I question if it was in fact at night.

Just all around frustrating. I dont really have any motivation to continue playing an insta-kill game when I don’t even have any real motivation in the story yet.

I managed to only die once. It was a fun puzzle game though there wasn't much story. You were given no context and there wasn't a reason for there to be dragons or for a lamppost to kill you. I still had fun though.

Got to the end. The square root thingy was way different from the Internet answer that I received. Still too short.
