Arizona, 2017. "Clutch", the warden at  Monte Claire's Mondesto Prison, is running low on funds and room for incoming prisoners. " I must find a way to get rid of these prisoners. Maybe... i could set up some kind of tournament... some kind of fighting tournament. This could generate money from gambling and kill off some of those "death row" inmates that have been here for years." With his plan in full swing you have no choice but to participate in this tournament. The winner is promised a full pardon. You arent sure you can trust Clutch but you have no choice really.

Currently there are 10 inmates that will be participating in the Prisoners of Pain Tournament.

I have to agree with what's already been said by other members, positive and negative.

It really was starting out well, and I was grateful that you were able to pick gender, and that there were a few secrets, like the password. But it felt like it ended as soon as it started in all honesty.

One complaint I have is that you don't even have to actually play any of the real game to get an End Game link. You can just go to the password page and click any of the links, which are mostly End Game links. I imagine a lot of people have played this storygame and just thought of it as nothing more then a free point because they weren't actually required to really read anything.

There were multiple grammar and spelling mistakes throughout the storygame, and it's already been said, but some of the link names didn't really make sense.

And a lot of the End Game links really didn't have much of an explanation for why the game ended.

It honestly feels like it was written in a day or two, maybe less. There's no rush to hit the publish button, because overall this felt rushed. Especially since it was starting out rather well.

I liked it in the beginning. I had a lot of options to choose from and the choices that I made actually shaped out my character. Also, I liked the different amount of characters and that each was unique in his/her own way. At first, it was very choose your story kind of game. But then it kind of fell off. I didn't have choices when I fought people, you just decided that for me. Also, I didn't have any impact on the ending.

So in the end, it wasn't that much of a fun game for me.

It seems like the reader had little input in the story like most of the others on this site, but this may be unfair grounds to compare on, however, the actual story itself seems to be quite familiar to that films, Death race, where prisoners are asked to partake in a competition and are offered a pardon if they win. Also in the story line involving the magician a few things are not explained. Such as exactly what is "The magic wand" and how he knew what the second opponents child's voice sounded like. Could have been longer.

too few choices

I choose a character, and then they go off on me, and I can't choose anything for them?

The game was over in three clicks. The characters are introduced - and bow out - on the same page that you end the game on. Literally.

I skimmed through it the first time and when I blinked, the game was over. I don't know why I bothered picking a gender, really. It really does need a lot more content, because it looked like it was starting out alright.

The end was too abrupt. I'm waiting for more story...

It was far too short. Good story content, I wish there was more description of the cafeteria, what they wore, what they ate, what the place looked like.

I'd at least like to choose how I fight the prisoner.
