The Vampire Hunter

This was a cute little game; I definitely liked it. The storyline itself is quite short (any individual playthrough lasts only a few minutes), but there’s definitely a vast array of choices to enjoy. I found many of the paths rather humorous. The vampire hunter is quirky, in his adamant determination that you are undead - an assertion which may or may not be true. I think it’s cool how whether or not you are a vampire (and the corresponding state of the antagonist’s mental stability) is influenced by your choices in the game.

Some of the endings where you get to mess around with the antagonist’s mind are really funny. I took great delight in changing my mind about whether or not I was a vampire several times mid-play, blatantly admitting to being a vampire without a care in the world (you only live once, truly), and pretending to act human when I was truly wasn’t. My favourite ending was probably the one were secretly an incredibly powerful demon.

This story reminded me quite a bit of the longer twine game called “16 Ways to Kill a Vampire at Mcdonalds.” If you enjoyed this short, quirky story, you’ll probably enjoy that game, too.

Overall, I’ve rated this a 5/8. I would give this a higher rating if it were longer. Good job overall.

Wow, this game is quite humorous in all honesty :D The writing and humor are both done well and compliment each other, and the scenarios can change dramatically with whatever choice the reader may decide. Certain things like that give this story quite a unique charm, and a decent amount of replay value.

This story is definitely very fun, I recommend this for all to play.

Freaking hilarious. I am in love with this story, I seriously laughed until I cried. My favorite ending is the "Oh, I'm something MUCH worse" one. Brilliant twist. Most of them that don't end in the death of the reader's character are good twists, and even the "magic dust" was a good surprise.

This may have been short and a story without a whole lot of detail, but you managed to make it SO entertaining with so few words. I didn't have to wade through a novel's worth of sentences to get a lot of enjoyment out of it, and I think that's a rare trick to pull off. Bravo. I'm gonna go check out your other stuff, if they're half as good? I'll love them, too.

There was a typo in to path were you pretend to sleep, then attack.

This is such a lovable story, it is short and sweet.

Newbie vampire hunters, amiright?

It would be neat to see a sequel to this storygame where the Vampire Hunter has more experience under his belt. Overall, not quite the battle of wits I was anticipating, but it was still fun.
