The Badlands

A metal fortress of defence and secrets harbours something deep within it. It would be an expected mystery, if not for it being hundreds of kilometres out in a deserted wasteland of sand away from all life. Nicknamed 'The Badlands'. People refuse to call a desert - as nothing lives there. Not plants stretch out their roots or even lizards crawl through the rocks, not for hundreds of kilometres away. As the urban populations begin to dwindle away in rusting structures, many people set out to set basic camps in the Badlands, and die in a massacre overnight a few days later. You are sent to discover the reason of this. Perhaps the building holds the henchmen of doom that crave bloodlust, or merciless bandits. What caused these deaths?

I've been wondering what to write for a few weeks. After seeing ideas online and even using AI tools to give me ideas, nothing. I thought I could ask the community on what they'd like to see? :p

I keep getting lots of duel requests and i have no idea what they are someone help me out and explain :(

I'm currently trying to write a story on here, it would be helpful to know what the community is interested in to help me.

Yeah, it's been alright; for now. I honestly think 2026 is going to be worse.
