Bio
I love writing, but my job killed my love for it the last two years. I have a lot of ideas and plans, and often I start them. (Hey! I'm farther than a lot of other people who never start!) Incompletion is frequently because of how grandiose my hopes for writing are. But, with competitions and frequent interaction, I think this might help!
I remember reading Choose Your Own Adventure books as a kid and really liked them with the caveat that I always wished there were more choices. (That may explain my hopes for lots of paths in my stories and why writing often takes me forever.) Though I've found my stories in Fantasy and Sci-Fi typically, but my true roots are all vested in identity shenanigans and secrets.
Also, apparently, I've started multiple threads... That was not something I was expecting to do. But, thus it happened.

Contest 5 Progress on 2/24/2026 1:40:17 PMWell, I found out there was this discussion board only after making my own. (Oops!) I've been working on mine when I'm at work mostly but... I'm sitting around 3100 words. At this point I'm just putting words on paper and then I'll go through and edit everything. But, I've planned for 26 pages and have completed 5.5 of them. I have to be a planner otherwise, I'll make it ridiculously long. (Though sometimes that doesn't work. My personal project is way over 99 pages...)
I haven't edited any of it yet though, and I'm going to add a lot more than the bare bones of characters and actions.

Too late, I've already been scarred. Thanks for the link.
End Master's Challenge Part 1 on 2/23/2026 7:40:19 PM
Vibes/Thoughts:
I'm pretty happy with what I'm writing right now in terms of structure. I'll definitely have to go back and add to my descriptions, but I'm focusing on characters and scene changes with my rough draft and it's going faster than I thought it would. My outline has 26 different parts (which is way smaller than my usual brainstorming) and I've written the drafts for 5 of them. Granted, some of them are shorter than others, my math isn't necessarily accurate, but I think I'll use the word count for the math of the first edit.
Statuses:
Outline: 100%
Rough Draft: 19.2%
Editing Pass 1: 0%

Hello! I don't know if anyone else needs this, but I do, so I figure others might too. But... I was going to post my progress for EndMaster's Prompt Challenge, so I can keep track of it and update it as needed. The point is to be held more accountable than I would be on my own. And, to help me stay motivated to keep working on it. My thoughts were that we can format it like so:

None of that is particularly required and feel free to do what you wish for this, so long it's of help to your progress on your works (or others' works). If you notice, I didn't include any particular contest or anything, so if you're not in any of those things, that's fine too. Anyway, just a thought. If I missed something like this already existing, my apologies. Best of luck with all your WIPs!
